Our Vision of Renovation
Trees can be used to mark history, fuel fires, or build a home. The prophet Isaiah, speaking about the work of Jesus, says he will make us trees of righteousness planted by the Lord to glorify him (Isaiah 61:3). As trees often serve as raw material for many renovation projects, we hope that God will use the transformed lives of the people of BT Church collectively in his service as he makes all things new. We believe God’s work of Renovation in us and through us will build on the past, fuel the fires of revival in the present, and prepare us for future generations. We know that this powerful new season in the life of our church will be challenging. God will call us to new levels of faith, surrender, devotion, and generosity. As God continues to work in us and through us, we trust that he will perform above and beyond anything that we can imagine.
A Letter
from Pastor Chris
God began the Renovation of lives at BT Church in March of 1985 when a faithful group of believers responded to his invitation to plant a church in McAllen, Texas. Since then, countless lives have been impacted by the work of Jesus. Untold numbers of men, women, and children have placed faith in Christ and have experienced the rewriting of their eternities through our church.

We believe this next season in the life of our church will be transformative as we continue to trust God to do the work only he can do. The Renovation continues today as Jesus is still in the process of making all things new. Over the next two years, BT Church will seek the Lord as we celebrate the biblical call to generosity. I am asking everyone who calls BT their home to pray and discern how they can practice generosity in an extraordinary way as an individual or family. It is my belief that during this two-year initiative, we will see the ministry of our campuses deepen and the impact of our missional efforts strengthened. I believe God has given us a strong foundation to build upon. Additionally, I think these two years leading up to our 40th anniversary as a church, will be monumental because of what God will do in and through each of us. However, I also believe this is a big vision, and it will take ALL OF US to see this move of God become a reality. Therefore, our official goal is to have 100% of the BT Church family join us on the Renovation journey. I am convinced that God is going to do above and beyond all we can ask or think as he continues his work of Renovation in the hearts of his people and as he continues to make all things new!
